Only released in Jamaica, this is the rhythms from the Soul Revolution II album and one of the very first footsteps of dub music. Lee Perry was becoming an innovator in music and this album represents a leap forward with the music itself becoming a focus, not just the vocals. Rhythm tracks had been used at Sound System Dances where DJ's used them to 'Chat' over as part of their performance for the crowds. Lee Perry was one of the young 'Rebel' producers who began to develop a whole new style of music from what they saw at Dances. Within a few years Perry was remixing the rhythms and dropping the vocals in out: Dub music. The development of 4 track-recording facilities was to help this process: these tracks were recorded on glorious 2 track!
