After his successful debut 'Do not Blame Me' (UNIT 2014), with which Raphael Jost won the Swiss Jazz Award 2015 and performed numerous concert appearances, the subtle and shrewd singer, pianist, composer and arranger once again returns with his 'lots of horns 'To the studio. His second song 'Moosedays' is a very personal album - 10 of the 12 songs are original compositions - and tells stories from Jost's life.
The title 'Moosedays' refers on the one hand to the recording days in the recording studio in Sweden, which is located on the edge of a settlement of Gothenburg on Älgvägen (Elk Trail, Moose = Moose)). On the other hand, he stands for very specific days when a current state of mind forms the foundation for a song.
Jost remains true to the concept of his debut; In addition to jazz, Pop influences influence his compositions, played by a purely acoustic jazz band that has steadily refined its sound in recent years. In addition to Jost's catchy voice, the most notable are the 'lots of horns', a 5-horn section that is sometimes subtly used as a timbre, sometimes as solid as a big band sounds.
