Areknamés are a psych dark progressive band from Italy.
They are lead by Michele Epifani, organ player and classical composer, who is the author of Areknamés music and lyrics.
In 2003 Areknamés recorded their debut album Areknamés, which got lots of positive reviews from press and audience. They started playing gigs around Europe (Italy, Germany, Belgium).
In 2006 Areknamés got back in the studios with a renewed line-up for recording Love Hate Round Trip, winner at ProgAwards and acclaimed by international critics.
Next year Areknamés were back on tour and recorded Live at Burg Herzberg Festival 2007 in Germany.

Third album from this wonderful Italian band that bring us back to the 70's. Strongly influenced by Van Der Graaf Generator and the Canterbury scene and bands such as Still Life, Quatermass and Indian Summer can be heard in this fresh album with plenty of violin, cello and saxophone
