Awakening Sun was set up by a guitarist, a lyricist, the main composer, frontman and band producer Ernestas in 2010, when he decided that the melodies created by him could be much more than just playing at home for himself. Since then, different musicians have replaced one another, until after about a year ago, the final cast was formed: Ernestas Skripkiūnas (vocals, lead guitar), Domas Dėdinas (drums), Denis Bubel (rhythm guitar), Povilas Laurinaitis (bass guitar). In the summer of 2011, the band played at the metal music festival Giedfest and in autumn recorded their first album SOLD OUT.
