American oldies' fans will be forgiven for being unfamiliar with Bobby Curtola since he charted only two singles in the U.S., neither of which cracked the Top 40. In his native Canada, however, it was a different story -- several of his singles went to number one, his albums were certified gold, and he was an entertainer of the first rank.
