The band has appeared on the Punishment 18 Records compilation CD entitled Punishment for Fuckin' Metalheadz with three new songs from the upcoming debut album.

Death Metal comes from everywhere; in this case from Italy. “Techno Decomposition World” is DEATH HEAVEN’s debut release, though they played live before recording any material. This may have helped the band sounds as good as they do on this demo. It’s not a fantastic release but it’s at least a promising debut. The demo is produced by the bands own Andrea, who also handles vocals and one of the guitars. The info sheet tells that Andrea was only 18 years when he started his work on “Techno Decomposition World”. Sounds like he’s got talent in my opinion, something he shares with the rest of the band.
For the most times DEATH HEAVEN plays Death Metal of medium brutal character. The demo has its share of blast beats but it’s not a dominant part of the album. The vocals are for the most times growled, though there is higher pitched screams in the mix as well. All in all I think the vocalist (Andrea) does a good performance, though the screams aren’t as good as the growls. When you look at the cover art, which is horrible by the way, you could expect Death Metal with cyber\techno effects. There is some, but not as much as the cover might lure you to believe. In fact it is only at the end of the last song that we are treated to something that assimilates what the cover indicates.
DEATH HEAVEN’s music is far from perfect as I find much room for improvement. I trust the sound quality to be better on future releases. I also expect the band to become better musicians. At the moment they must be considered a rough diamond of unspecified carat. There are some parts that are mediocre at best, but then again some parts are firing on all cylinders. My main issue with the level of musicianship is the standard of the double bass kicks. I’m not critical to the drummer as a whole but I do believe he needs to practice his skills in this department. At the moment they sound a bit too sloppy for their own good. The guitars solos are one of strong points on “Techno Decomposition World”. I hope they further develop this part of their music on future releases.
