Review

Dual Coma is a Polish band and even though they name their style as Post Metal and there is a discernible modern touch on it, they present an ambivalent but definitive influence from Thrash Metal detectable that grants its aggressive touch and definitive personal style. The band was formed in 2004 and has experienced a whole process of adaptation in order to get their own sound and the appropriate members for the instrumental duties. During 2007 they released their first demo “Decode the human” that was very well received by the press and the music industry. Later in 2008 they released a new demo called “Program H.A.T.E.” and subsequently that same year an EP named “Bulletproof heart”. “Reprogrammed H.A.T.E.” is their first full length and its a compilation including all their material, additionally it includes the video for the track “Bulletproof heart”.
This band is really potent, centring its sonic unfold in a stylized redesign from Thrash Metal, not in a malcore kind of way though but with well welded riffs targeting your neck, youll invariably find yourself thrashing every track from start to end. As a general characteristic the compilation presents a repertoire of gripping and head banging riffs with hooking chorus lines, powerful Thrash metal canvas with a defined development into melody and rhythm and with vocal duties accented on Death Metal territory. The rhythm and the melody are fused in just one structure that leaves no interstices only the drum appears amidst with intrepid beats that serve as perfect accompaniment for the potent component of melody and rhythmic power. There are not spectacular rhythmic changes or sudden plots for exaggerated arpeggios as everything is polished and concrete for the purpose of movement and the archetypal Thrash Metal concept is twisted only by the solidity from the harmonies, the stylization coming from the arrangements and a quote of modernity with some Nu metal kind of chorus with multiple vocal sets.
This is where Thrash Metal finds a different perspective, not edulcorated nor extravagant, the compilation results concise in its predilection for captivating rhythms that varies from peaks of euphoric power in tracks like “Bulletproof heart”, “Nuclear lost” with virulent sequences of potency to valleys that mix catchy riffs with elegant Heavy Metal accented arpeggios and promissory rhythmic hooks with definitive influx from Death Metal where the vocals find another exemplary match for reference. As an example from this aspect comes the brilliant track “Constellation” full of gripping riffs and a harmonic pearl on the middle of it, really abrasive track yet so full of stylized arrangements and originality. Dual Coma is a band that knocks down the listener with its addictive precision and predilection for rhythmic sequences, youll get a bouquet of fury and harmonic equilibrium with every note. A band that has surpassed the notion of archetypal Thrash Metal and has expanded its intrinsic power with a modern touch that results well balanced in the end. Good work!

Biography

In year 2004 a group of friends has decided to put together their passions and unite as a metal project, that was soon known as Dual-Coma. This new band needed two years to unite perfect musicians with great skills, but also there was a must of being open minded, with positive temper and a great passion of creating and composing music. Dual-Coma has fast became a group of irreplaceable friends. Every single member brings something important to bands final shape. The beginning of Dual-Coma remembers Czubaka and Lechu, they've met in march 2004 in old, abandoned garage. No one would ever imagine that DC will be running and groving with such impet and dynamic. In july 2005 drumer Senator has sealed his place in bands squad, and in 2007 Bartek has closed the list of members of Dual-Coma. From this time Dual-Coma became the fulfilled dream.
