Electric Orange is Germans finest Krautrock band. The band plays mainly instrumental and mostly improvised rock that is very influenced by the likes of Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd and CAN. Sulatron, a label specialized in psychedelic, electronic jam rock, has re-released this album. “Fleischwerk” was originally released in 2005 as a limited vinyl edition on 300 copies. The album has been out of print for a long time and has since then been a collectors item. “Fleischwerk” has now finally been made available as a fine digipack, including some 35 minutes of bonus material: 4 extra tracks have been added. Some of Electric Oranges music is quite strange and sounds very experimental. The layered music sometimes brings back echoes of early Pink Floyd releases capturing CANesque soundscapes. Their previous release “Morbus” was already a very psychedelic trip, but “Fleischwerk” is even more trippy. If you are looking for a long spacy trip to mars, fasten your seatbelts and put this CD in your layer. This surely is great kraut-space-psych and experimental music by one of today’s most spaced out German bands.
