This restoration project consists of two parts:
1) Q8 Tape 4.0 restored conversion to 1 DVD-Audio only (torrent is seeded already)
2) 4.1 Upmix from Stereo remaster to 1 DVD-Audio only (this torrent here)
Both versions have good channel separation now – first one is
better on the fronts, second one has the better sound overall.
I do prefer much the upmix. It was first made as a 5.1 layout but
due to the limited space of a single layer DVD the center channel
of the upmix was mixed in the fronts. Generally I’ve tried to get the
same quadraphonic feeling as the Q8 version. In most parts it works well.
Both versions come with widescreen menus (16:9, PAL).
So this one is for historical and testing purposes only !!
