The CD comes as one single track, despite there being a tracklist of six tracks.
Volcanic Tongue review by David Keenan:Got our hands on CD copies of a bunch of this still-staggering 1996 Harry Pussy album, still one of the genuinely peerless what-the-fuck recordings of the last few decades. Hard to think of any other group whose rock concept was so beautifully elastic and liberated from caveman concerns and yet were still capable of kicking out the jams and speaking in tongues birthed from the most base rock phonetics. In fact, playing this one again, it's hard to work out what the fuck they were thinking. But it still sounds amazing.
Allmusic review by Martin Walters:This '90s guitar-and-drums noise duo from Florida approaches improvised music from the same angle as Ascension, Fat, and the Blue Humans -- a kind of splatter rock that mixes the disregard for form of free jazz with the electricity of post-punk experimentation. On Ride a Dove, their subversion of what is commonly regarded as music is produced in a spontaneous fashion and with a lo-fi production value that leaves something to desired. Though this rawness and disregard is all part of the character, fans of the Dead C, Merzbow, and some of Sonic Youth's noise offshoots will find this album thrilling.
