Об исполнителе (группе)

The previous album 'X' by this Italian prog metal collective was heavily judged as it was released in time of countless Dream Theater wannabees. That was only last year and times haven't changed as that tendency still rages on.

It is a positive fact however that ProgressiveXperience continued rightaway and already comes up with a follow up entitled '21st Century Brain Damage' is a whirling concept album that brings life in a metropolis under attention but with several references to the 'X' album, which is smart and original.
I could detect musical growth; a more own sound has been achieved but there's also a negative side to mention. Singer Giovanni Valente stepped off and was replaced Andrea Ranfagni and that is a loss. Ranfagni may be more experienced and has a rawer voice, he sings with too much nonchalance and goes off key even.
The band stands strong however and offers lots of variation in their music. The title track is the perfect example of that. Music wise more than ok, original concept, great graphics but a too easily made bet on experience. A new developing chance!
