This is the well known, highly sought after W.A.R. Compilation that has everything from unreleased Dissection tracks to those In Flames and Dark Tranquillity cuts that now appear on each of their second efforts. The bands and the songs are all demonstration of Wez and Per's near perfect taste in music. And the fact that some of these tracks are still, six years later, unavailable elsewhere, makes this disc more than just a novelty. I won't describe the music put forth by each band because all but a couple are by now very well known in the scene. The highest points of this compilation include two very good Eucharist songs, one of which can not be found anywhere else, and the debut from an absolutely killer death/thrash band called Purgatorium (that I think hasn't made another song).
