Method:
- Record cleaned on Vpi machine.
- Audio sampled at 96/32 float.
- Filter to roll-off frequencies below 20 HZ (only below audible frequencies).
Audio restoration:
- Manual declick and deglitch.
- Denoising treatments were not necessary.
- All whole sides normalized to 100% NEVER using compression or limiting.
Synopsis:
UK pressing in absolutely mint condition. Very definitely the definitive first 'cut' version; the Track original pressing is for all intents and purposes exactly the same sound quality, and the Reprise US original no real difference so this is the real deal as far as original 1968 style audio is concerned, this is the way you heard it back in the day. Arguably several more recent remasterings have elements that are superior - the latest version (check Aksman's rip) has clearer and more dynamic bass for instance) but this really is just about as good an example as you'll find of the original representation.
