The final volume in the series follows much the same trajectory as Volume III, presenting three slightly later corresponding live snapshots. This time, each gig is from Paris' famed L'Olympia Music Hall, all recorded and broadcast live by French Europe 1 'Musicorama' radio. It starts with a mid-'65 high-energy RB gig, a 'transitional phase' show in early '66, and a very interesting show from the European tour of Spring '67 - their last before taking an extended hiatus from the road.
Sound quality runs the gamut. Most performances included here were captured in 'rebroadcast' form from more recent airings of the shows and are very good to excellent. Those from the original broadcasts are rough to unusable - we've chosen to resurrect just a few of these.
An additional appearance at L'Olympia in late '64 also broadcast by Musicorama unfortunately has not yet found its way into circulation.
